"It just broke my heart when I saw it."Gracie spent 25 years with the army and said soldiers fight not onlyfor their country, but also for each other. When one of theirfriends is killed, monuments are often the places soldiers go toreflect. "It hurts. It's a disgrace. The youth of Canada andNewfoundland just don't understand the sacrifices that were made.They don't enjoy their freedoms. They take it for granted," he said.
