Among the projects, theRideau-Sussex-Wellington-Colonel By intersection near ParliamentHill would become a grand gateway into downtown, complete with anational monument. The work is part of a long-range plan expected totake 10 to 20 years to complete.

Woman stuck in tub
An 86-year-old woman is sore but unscathed after she wasstuck in her bathtub for two days. Lorraine LeBlanc, who has had hipand knee surgery, couldn't lift herself out of the tub July 10. Shecovered herself with towels and spent the time sleeping and praying.A neighbour noticed LeBlanc's door was open and called the RCMP, whorescued the woman.
