Confirmed H7N7 Avian Influenza In Oxfordshire Poultry Farm, UK
Following confirmation of the avian influenza virus subtype as H7N7, the Health Protection Agency has reviewed actions taken in the Oxfordshire poultry farm outbreak. Based on the best evidence available from national flu experts, the Agency remains confident that all necessary steps are being taken to protect those people who may have been exposed to the virus on the premises or who are involved in disease control activities.

Information Session For Owners Of Backyard Poultry Flocks In New Brunswick And Prince Edward Island, Canada
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), the province of New Brunswick and the province of Prince Edward Island invite owners of small or backyard poultry flocks to attend an information session on how to help prevent and detect poultry diseases, such as avian influenza. New Brunswick Area bird owners and the general public are welcome to drop in from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
