A group of German investigators headed by Birgitta Metternich is reporting a new method of improving memory disturbances in the current issue of Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics. Patients with memory complaints, but without objective cognitive impairment, suffer considerably in their daily lives, as they experience frequent lapses of memory and attention leading to embarrassment, anxiety, reported occupational shortcomings and often the fear of dementia.

Humboldt Prize Awarded To Neuroscientist Michael Gazzaniga
Michael Gazzaniga, professor of psychology at UC Santa Barbara and director of the SAGE Center for the Study of the Mind, has received the Humboldt Research Prize in recognition of lifetime achievements in science.
