Festival of Speed Continues in Topeka
The Festival of Speed continued Friday in Topeka. The SCCA National Championship runoffs began Friday at Heartland Park. Fans watched on from the stands as drivers zoomed around the track. This is the third year for the run-offs at Heartland Park.

Kansas State Fair Attendance Poorest in 16 Years
Kansas State Fair officials say rainy weather and a sluggish economy brought attendance to a 16-year low, excluding 2001 after the September 11th attacks. About 3 inches of rain fell on the last Friday of the fair.

Missing Kansas Man's Body Found in Lake
The body of a Lindsborg man missing for nearly a month has been found in a central Kansas lake. McPherson county authorities say divers found 39-year-old Mike Likins dead inside his vehicle Wednesday night at Maxwell State Lake, just north of Canton.

Murder Trial Continues in Manhattan Murder Case
More testimony was heard Thursday in the murder trial of a man charged with dismembering his former roommate. Kevin Hernandez, 20, is accused of murdering 23-year-old Adam Hooks when the two lived together in Manhattan back in June of 2007.
