Storm kills Deerfield woman
A powerful storm cut a 21-mile path of destruction from Candia to Freedom yesterday, killing a Deerfield woman and injuring her husband and 3-month-old grandson. The storm damaged or destroyed upwards of 100 homes, downed scores of trees and power lines and left dozens of people displaced from their houses.

When the city took land from Hillside View Apartments to use for Langley Parkway, it was prepared to pay the owners $13,000. But Harbor/Hillside Investment said the city's construction made the property less valuable, and the company asked for more than $140,000 in compensation.
