Boy Drowns At Independence Day BBQ In Queens
An 8-year-old boy drowned in a pool at an Independence Day party in Queens. The little boy had been sitting by the pool at a relative's house on 136th Street. Around 7 p.m., some of the guests noticed that the boy, believed to be the only child at the party was missing.

Man Killed, Woman Hurt In Brooklyn Shooting
Police said a shooting in Brooklyn has left a man dead and a woman hospitalized. Officers responded to to a report of a shooting on New York Avenue in East Flatbush at 1 a.m. Saturday. They found a 26-year-old man with two gunshot wounds to the torso and a 27-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the leg.
