LEETONIA - Appealing to the community to help fund the ailing school district, Leetonia school officials, Mayor Artie Altomare and state Sen. Jason Wilson discussed an upcoming school levy during an open forum with residents Thursday.Voters in the Leetonia School District will see a 6.8-mill five-year emergency levy on the ballot Aug. 5. The levy, if passed, will generate $465,000 each year.A

LISBON - A teenager has pleaded guilty to charges arising from an incident that contributed to a Salineville police officer being fired.The 17-year-old Salineville boy pleaded guilty as charged this week in Columbiana County Juvenile Court to a charge of obstructing police business, the equivalent of a second-degree misdemeanor.
