Gresham foster dad sentenced in abuse case
A former foster parent accused of beating or shaking a 2-year-old girl blind pleaded no contest to attempted assault and was sentenced to 30 months in prison. But Cesar Cruz-Reyes Sr., of Gresham, maintained his innocence at Monday's hearing.

According to Milwaukie police, officers responded to a report of a suicidal person outside Milwaukie Providence Hospital at 10150 S.E. 32nd Ave. Monday night and found the man in front of the emergency room threatening to kill himself if anyone approached him.
