Grants Pass man sentenced to 12 years for stabbing
A Grants Pass man who pleaded guilty to assaulting his wife has been sentenced to a dozen years in prison. Francis Oxley, 68, cut his wife's throat, back, hand and abdomen. At the time of his arrest, Oxley told police he only wanted to maim his wife, not kill her.

Wash. state sets voter registration record
