Joe Turney $87 million in endorsements plus another $5-$10 million in tour earnings a year. Not sure he could beat Stevie Wonder if they were just playing for pride (hint Ryder Cup). But, the week after the Ryder Cup he shoots 8 and 7 under respectively. We need guys like Corey Pavin, Ray Floyd, Jack Nicklaus, Lee Trevino, Arnold Palmer, Scott Verplank, quys with grit. People want to cheer for the country's teams, the Ryder Cup team never gave us a chance to cheer. It is absolutely ridiculous. comment by Joe Turney - Sep 29, 2006 8:03 PM [GMT]  [ reply ]
Les Hughes Couldn't agree more. We get our butts whipped every two years and our players act like they don't care. What a disappointing performance by the Amercian team. They haven't played well in the Ryder Cup since they wanted to be paid for playing and were denied. They are being asked to represent their country once every two years, a country where they live like kings, and they act like it's an inconvenience. Representing their country should be the greatest honor for an athlete. Maybe they should ponder this before the next Ryder Cup is played. reply by Les Hughes - Sep 30, 2006 02:51 AM [GMT]
