In 1950 (my last year in school) our mediocre team took fire and won the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP - the WHOLE TOWN greeted them as they came into town on Rt. 40 and followed them all the way to the esplanade downtown - IT WAS WONDERFUL - FUNNY - this town has changed so much I do not even recognize it today - if we took the State Championship today, there would probably be no celebration!!! comment by Barbara Hughes - Apr 21, 2008 12:32 PM [GMT] [ reply ] |
