The Department of Homeland Security has appointed Allan J. Martocci as area port director in Philadelphia.Martocci, of Bala Cynwyd, will lead about 300 customs and border patrol officers, agriculture specialists, and others safeguarding ports of entry in Pennsylvania, Delaware and South Jersey.Since October 2004, he served in Philadelphia as assistant port director for tactical operations with U.S. Customs and Border Protection. He succeeds William Brush, who died July 7. - Diane Mastrull
