Barbara Hughes The 3 golf courses were doing fine til the CITY took them over - raised playing fees - raised fees for membership to play all year, etc. etc.etc., I have been going to the golf to watch my 2 sons play for over 40 years and have talked to a lot of older golfers on fixed income and been told they had been priced out of playing golf - last year in the WBLY I who am almost 76 could not pay the fee for the cart because they did not have the foresight to order more than they needed for players who were the only ones (championship flight who got them) WHAT DOES THIS TELL YOU - POOR MANAGEMENT!!! comment by Barbara Hughes on Park district looking to close golf course Aug 17, 2008 2:13 PM [GMT]
usgoosht Do we have the right to keep our country as a civilized and gentle place? Uncrowded and environmentally benign? With low crime and not overpopulated? A place with low levels of corruption. The way it used to be before all these illegals showed up.

There are 2 billion people in the world living on less than $2/day. Do all of them have a right to come to America just because they are in need? And no matter the consequences to our way of life?

What of their responsibility for their own plight? They have babies they can't afford, and still have more. They don't educate themselves or their children. Are they not responsible for their own actions? Is it our responsibility to pick up the pieces for their self harming behavior? Do we have to support a culture of "too stupid to use birth control and proud of it" to the destruction of our way of life?

They've lived here for years and don't speak English. They still behave in the same way that made their countries pestholes, and expect us to celebrate that. That tells you how much they want to be American, how much they want to fit in to this country.

Oh sure, employers are happy with them as workers. Five hundred years of Latin feudal culture have perfected the creation of serfs. Docile and subservient, proud to be ignorant, having lots of babies so they are cheap to use. But is this good for America? I don't think so. comment by usgoosht on A small town struggles after immigration raid Aug 16, 2008 6:24 PM [GMT]
