This is horrible. And yet, what alternative is there? Is it an alternative to let the children starve instead? No, the solution is fewer children. These children live their lives like this because, like most African countries, their parents have way more children than they can afford. The article doesn't say, but I would be surprised if these children don't have 8 or 10 siblings. Unsustainable. It would have been interesting to hear the rationale the parents offer for their disgusting behavior. The war on drugs tramples civil rights. Again. When will we wise up. Twenty years, billions of dollars, nothing to show for it. Well, except that over half of prisoners in federal prisons are there for drug offences. And drug gangs run most inner cities. Breaking the news to other that you have cancer can come in many forms. I simply jumped on stage with a friends band and announced it to the crowd. This was after a few cocktails and waiting 8 months after I noticed symptoms.
