I cant believe that washington county is leagally justified for intrapping and murdering Mr. Shane Grundmeyer. I frequent the area Aloha/Beverton alot, so being the curious person that I am I personally went to the location this incident occuered. Printed out all the news reportings and information that is availible to the public and saw for myself as an united states citizen what a poor decision the chief deputy district attorney(roger hanlon) has made. I would think twice before relecting him for another term in offic. These people that are being shot are your sons,daughters,brothers,sisters,your neighbors,people you see in your favorite mall.You read about it in your local paper, but do you ever wonder what is the real truth. I do. Im also amazed that out of the twelve bullets that were fired, that they didnt go into the house that was less than 20ft away. This is a residential neighbor hood,and being aweekend most families are all home or out playing. Mr.grundmeyers vehicle was boxed in so what if hes trying to ram a car how many time can one do that before giving up. He was boxed in /he wasnt going anywhere. Did the police even say stop or I'll shoot. Why did they put themselves in harmsway by exiting there vehicles.There 3 cars to his one. According to my understanding he didnt even get out of his car to run. Talk about jumping the gun. Also, Its my oppinion that Mr.grundmeyer probably didnt even no that you were there and you rammed him. There is not and was never any mention about police lights or sirons alerting this man that he needed to yield. This is a one lane driveway. i wish i would of read about this yesterday so i could of attended the meeting,....one thing i'd like to say is,..at least multnomah county police officer's knows there is a big problem with the use of deadly force within not only there own department,but all of the other counties out there,.......i am a little disapointed with washington county police department,they can't even admit that maybe they could of done things a little different before they ambushed my nephew shane grundmeyer,and however they want to justify what they did,..not only did they not give my nephew a chance to surrender,..innocent until proven guilty,........its what we all live by and beleive in,..right,??? my nephew poised no threat to those washington county officer's ,who waited for my nephew to come up the drive, on his way home ..the first bullet that the officer's shot,killed my nephew instantly.why did they continue shooting supposibly at what i don't know..there were 12 to 13 more shots fired at a suspect who was with no weapon of anykind,..after the first bullet killed him,there was a second bullit that went into his chest,..where did all those other bullit's go flying off to,.if they were so concerned about their own lives,.why were they shooting all over the place in a residential neighborhood..........its totally wrong,.i hope they have a hard time sleeping at night,.please tell me they at least have somekind of a heart,..they totally destroyed all of my familie's lives,..not to mention taking shane's life...........is this justified,.........i should say,.............hell no,...denny grundmeyer comment by DENNY GRUNDMEYER on Use Of Deadly Force Examined In Hearings Apr 15, 2008 03:52 AM [GMT] |

I CANNOT BELEIVE THAT THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY HAS RULED IN FAVOR OF THE WASHINGTON COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT,JUSTIFYING THEIR DEADLY USE OF FORCE,AND SHOOTING MY NEPHEW TO DEATH,.NOT EVEN GIVING HIM A CHANCE TO SURRENDER,..........HE NEVER MADE IT OUT OF HIS CAR,.....WHAT HAPPEN TO BEING INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY,IN A COURT OF LAW,...........WHAT GIVES WASHINGTON COUNTY POLICE OFFICER'S THE RIGHT TO BE THERE OWN JUDGE & JURY,..WHERE DID THIS INFORMATION COME FROM ON THE RELIABLITY OF THE SO CALLED SNITCH,WHO STATED THAT MY NEPHEW SHANE WAS DANGEROUS,AND WAS CARRYING A WEAPON,.??? AND ALSO,THAT HE WOULD'NT GO PEACEFULLY,..?? I'VE KNOWN SHANE ALL OF MY LIFE,AND WE WERE AS CLOSE AS BROTHER'S,AND HE WAS MY BEST FRIEND,...ANYTIME I EVER NEEDED ANYTHING THING,NO MATTER WHAT IT WAS,...SHANE WOULD MAKE SURE I HAD IT...IF IT WAS JUST TO LEND MORAL SUPPORT,FINANCIAL SUPPORT,OR A SHOULDER TO LEAN ON,CRY ON,OR JUST TO BE THERE FOR EACH OTHER,.HE NEVER HAD A MEAN STREAK IN HIM,.NEVER,..........HE WAS FULL OF SO MUCH LOVE,LIFE,HONESTY,A GREAT GUY WITH A VERY BIG HEART,...WE HAD A VERY BIG FAMILY,AND SHANE WAS ALWAYS A VERY BIG PART OF EACH AND EVERYONE OF US,...........HE WOULD NEVER HURT ANYBOODY........WITH ALL THIS THAT HAS HAPPENED TO OUR FAMILY,AND TO SHANE,....WHERE IS THE BEAVERTON POLICE DEPARTMENT'S CONDOLENCE'S FROM THEM .,IN THE DEATH OF MY NEPHEW,.?AT LEAST YOU'D THINK OUR FAMILY WOULD OF BEEN OFFERED SOME KIND OF LOCAL SUPPORT TO HELP US DEAL WITH THE LOSS OF SHANE'S DEATH,...SOMEKIND OF COUNELING OR ANYTHING,?// WHY HAVE'NT THEY OFFERED SOMEKIND OF A FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTION ,.
