This is definitely a black eye for the LPGA tour. How this could happen with an LPGA official in the scoring trailer is beyond me. I would think the official would check for 2 signatures when the card is turned in. I would like to know how she was allowed to play the entire 3rd round before being disqualified. Michelle was playing very well for the first time in a long while, I hope this doesn't become another major setback for her. comment by Les Hughes on Wie DQ'd from State Farm over scorecard flap Jul 21, 2008 12:38 PM [GMT] |

Follow the church's teaching and have lots of babies you can't afford. That will guarantee that they grow up impoverished and ignorant. Then they won't live hollow lives of ease and comfort, but will struggle to survive. What a fraud. I've been following this situation since it first appeared and have had a question. If there is a credible threat that Dillon Reservoir could be a target for terrorist contamination, is it really credible to believe the terrorists can't figure out how to contaminate it unless they have access to that road? I'm not a terrorist and certainly don't think I could possibly come up with schemes, but even I can think of several alternatives that would not require the road. So basically we are putting the community at major inconvenience and even risk (lack of easy access for emergency equipment) to prevent what? comment by sefakajira on Colo. After the way they worked to win the game - to see BAKER sit like always while the closer gives the game away IS UNBELIEVABLE!!! comment by barbhughes on Cordero comes apart in loss Jul 18, 2008 1:44 PM [GMT] |

What a blowup for the Reds. It didn't take Cordero long to blow this one. The ace multi-million dollar closer gives up 6 hits and 4 runs in the 9th inning. What was Dusty Baker doing while this was happening? Absolutely nothing. He leaves Cordero in there when it was clear he didn't have his best stuff. Then, after the Mets score 4 runs, he replaces Cordero with Bray, who gets them out. This has to be demoralizing for the Reds who fought hard in this one, only to see it slip away in the 9th inning. comment by Les Hughes on Mets rally late and earn 10th consecutive win, 10-8 over Reds Jul 18, 2008 12:04 PM [GMT] |

Here is a stand for the other side. . . . “Outside the courthouse, Bota and co-counsel Guy Louie said they had not seen the police report yet and could not say what had prompted the fight. They said their client is a dedicated husband and a father of three children. "He's a family man and he is a hard worker," Louie said. Members of Capili's family were present at the arraignment, but his attorneys asked them not to speak to reporters. Capili has worked for FormFactor for six years and has received commendations for his work. In 1983, Capili immigrated with his sister from the Philippines in search of a better life for himself and his family, Bota said. He wanted to go to college in the United States, but decided to work to save money to bring his mother to the U.S. Since then, Capili has become a U.S. citizen, and is very proud to be an American, Bota said. Bota added that Capili had never been in trouble with the law before.” Website: http://www.insidebayarea.com/trivalleyherald/ci_9901947 comment by buscar123456 on Man held in co-worker's stabbing death at Livermore tech firm Jul 17, 2008 04:58 AM [GMT] |
