Australia's second-quarter GDP expands 0.3% vs expected 0.4%
HONG KONG (MarketWatch) -- Australia's economy expanded by a slower-than-expected 0.3% in the second quarter of 2008 from the preceding quarter, the weakest pace in three years, the Australian Bureau of Statistics said Wednesday. On an annualized basis, gross domestic product expanded 2.7%.
