Notes: North Carolina ties abound on Champions Tour
THE SCHEDULE: The 2008 Greater Hickory Classic at Rock Barn is the 24th of 29 Charles Schwab Cup events on the 2008 Champions Tour schedule. This year's official Champions Tour season concludes with the Charles Schwab Cup Championship in Sonoma, CA, October 30-November 2.

E-notes: Haas maintains Charles Schwab Cup lead
Here's an oddity. Through the first 22 events of the season, no tournament had co-leaders entering the final round. That ended this past week at the Walmart First Tee Open at Pebble Beach when four players shared the lead heading into Sunday.

Schwab's Fishers space may be sold, leased

Haas grabs Charles Schwab Cup lead back from Langer
PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. -- Jay Haas took back the Charles Schwab Cup lead from Bernhard Langer with his tie for third at last week's JELD-WEN Tradition. Trailing Langer by 108 points when the week began, Haas is now 98 points ahead of Langer, who tied for seventh at the JELD-WEN Tradition. Fred Funk, who won in Oregon at the Champions Tour's fourth major of the year, moved to third place, with Eduardo Romero and Scott Hoch rounding out the top five.
