GE Real Estate names new GC for Europe
General Electric (GE) Real Estate has appointed Marianna Nitsch as general counsel of its European arm. Nitsch, who was formerly the legal head of the company’s French division, took up the post at the beginning of July following the promotion of predecessor Theirry Leleu to the role of European managing director of GE Real Estate’s Global Investment Management platform.

TEL AVIV (MarketWatch) -- ABB, the Swiss-Swedish giant producer of power and automation systems, named Joseph Hogan chief executive officer. Hogan joins ABB from General Electric Co., the Fairfield, Conn., industrial and financial-services giant, where he was president and CEO of GE Healthcare. At ABB, Hogan, 51, succeeds Michel Demare, who had been interim CEO. Demare continues as ABB's chief financial officer. GE named John Dineen, 45, president and CEO of GE Healthcare, a London-based $17-billion-revenue company with interests in medical-diagnostic technology and biosciences. Dineen has been with GE for 22 years; since 2005 he has been president and CEO of GE Transportation. Succeeding Dineen at GE Transportation is Lorenzo Simonelli, 35. GE Transportation, Erie, Pa., is a $4.5-billion-revenue company with interests in the rail, mining, marine, drilling and wind industries. Simonelli has been with GE for 14 years; since 2006 he's been president and CEO for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at GE Consumer & Industrial.
