Watson Farley Widens Italy Reach With Milan Debut
Watson Farley & Williams has opened a new office in Milan, the top 50 U.K. firm announced Tuesday. The new branch becomes Watson Farley's second office in the jurisdiction alongside an outpost in Rome, and will focus initially on clients in the energy, shipping, transport and telecommunications sectors. The Milan operation will be overseen by current Rome chief Eugenio Tranchino -- who joined the firm in 2002 from leading Italian independent firm Carnelutti -- and will be staffed by four associates.

Canada vs. Netherlands at World Poker Crown
Over 2,200 players entered to play in the inaugural WPC which guarantees $3 million. It marks one of the first tournaments where action held online right up until the final table. The 10 finalists will be heading to the prestigious Peralada Castle in Spain on May 8 to complete the epic event. The winner will take home a massive $1 million cash prize for first place but every player will receive at least $22,500 (the 10th place payout). During the live webcast Pacific Poker members will have a chance to play in special restricted tournaments to win one of four World Series of Poker* packages worth $17,000 each. In addition to the live webcast the tournament's highlights will also be broadcasted on Sky Sports 2 on May 12 at 9:30 p.m. BST as well other channels around the world at a later date.
