EuroCity Poker Tour begins Friday
The Madrid Open features a €1,000 buy-in and will take place at the Casino Gran Madrid. The tournament is open to 200 players, and Titan Poker players will be making up at least 66 of those players. The poker site ran online qualifiers for the event starting back in February up through the end of April, and dished out prize packaged to the ECPT Madrid Open to 66 players. Each of them won a $3,000 package that includes the buy-in to the Madrid Open plus money for flights, three nights' accommodation, two meals per day and a cocktail party. The players from Titan Poker are coming from all over Europe as well as one from Canada to take on the EuroCity event. "Thanks to Titan Poker I have been able to cultivate my passion," said Massimiliano Assini, an online qualifier from Italy. "I particularly enjoy playing at Titan Poker, one of the safest, most serious and reliable poker rooms." In Madrid, Assini will get to put his passion to use to turn his prize package into some cash. There is potential for a €200,000 prize pool if the tournament meets its player cap. Each player will start with $8,000 in chips, and the tournament will have a 60-minute blind structure.
