Self-Destruction, Mother of Invention
When I left for Africa earlier this month to look at efforts to fight AIDS, I thought I could double-dip and maybe come back with a story on hot stocks in Kenya and Uganda. No dice. For my readers, anyway, there's too much volatility and not enough liquidity in such companies as Kenya Airways, Sasini Tea & Coffee Ltd. and Bamburi Cement. Still, I did manage to return with an idea for an investing column.
