Wynn sees strong Macau, weak Vegas income in second quarter
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Wynn Resorts Ltd. said late Thursday it sees second-quarter operating income in Macau doubling and Las Vegas operating income dropping by more than 50%. The company also announced an increase to its share buyback program. Wynn said operating income for its Las Vegas property will be in the $18 million to $22 million range, compared with $63.4 million last year. In Macau, however, operating income is expected to be in the range of $100 million to $106 million, compared with $53.2 million in the year-ago period.
