She is a 1961 graduate of Lancaster High School and began her office career as clerk-typist at The Ohio State University and ended in education as office manager for Lancaster City Schools Operations Department. She is divorced with two stepsons, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She has attended New Life Christian Center for more than 20 years, teaching Sunday school most of those years. She enjoyed her first missions work team this summer to Bolivia, thanks to the support of family and friends and Buckeye Shape Form.
