FBR Capital slashes profit targets for five oil refiners
NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- FBR Capital Markets analyst Eitan Bernstein on Wednesday cut his second-quarter estimates for oil refiners on the heels of record-setting costs for crude oil, used as a raw material for gasoline, diesel and jet fuel. Frontier Oil is expected to earn 45 cents a share, down from 90 cents a share. Holly Corp. is now at 70 cents a share, down from $1 a share; Sunoco now 50 cents a share from $1.10 a share, Tesoro now 5 cents a share from 70 cents a share and Valero to $1.55 a share from $2.25 a hare.
