URBANA – University of Illinois police are investigating a knife-point robbery that occurred on the University of Illinois Quad on Thursday night.A UI police report said the 20-year-old Champaign man was walking north on the east sidewalk of the Quad about 9:30 p.m. when he was approached by three men, one of whom had a knife with a 4-inch blade.

URBANA – Former University of Illinois football teammates Joseph Ellis and Derrick McPhearson have been reunited at the Champaign County Jail.Ellis, 21, formerly of Savoy and most recently of Baltimore, pleaded guilty Tuesday before Judge Tom Difanis to one count of felony theft for stealing a laptop computer from an apartment in the 300 block of East Armory Avenue in Champaign on March 2, 2007.
