Call Of Duty 5 First Wii Screenshots
Here are some Call Of Duty 5 Wii screenshots straight from the official COD site http://www.callofduty.com/intel/60 As you can see, new Developer Treyarch Studios is putting a impressive amount of effort into the title. The game looks equally impressive in motion, with a lot of on screen effects and a ton of detail. Between this game, Madworld, The Conduit, and Dead Rising maybe some of the other 3rd party developers will be forced to stop cutting corners and actually making game that pushes the Wii hardware.

Here is a second opinion from Ripten's Emily Balistrieri on Nintendo's big reveal at E3: "I've been meaning to introduce a second opinion. I've put in my demo time and come up with not complete and utter adulation, but at least a different understanding and a sense of where the fun lies."

Kombo E3 2008: The Conduit Hands-On
Jonathan Hechema writes: "I can't begin this section without stating the obvious: holy crap, does this game look good. Hands down, The Conduit has to be the sharpest looking Wii game I've ever seen. Screenshots just don't do it justice – you have to see it in motion. At one point, High Voltage stated that they wanted to make a game on the Wii that looked like one on the 360, and they've definitely achieved that goal."

Analysis of Americas Sales for the Week Ending July 12, 2008
VGChartz runs us through the past week: After a pretty big week for new software last week, Civilization Revolution was the top new debut for the week, at a respectable 117,000+ on Xbox 360, PS3 & DS. Total hardware sales are up slightly from last week, led in raw units by Wii & DS and week over week increases by PS3 and PSP. The major milestone for the week belongs to the Wii though. At 12,830,822 units lifetime in the Americas through the week ending July 12, 2008 Wii has topped Gamecube Americas sales. Gamecube finished up its sales life earlier in 2008 at roughly 12.73 million. At 306,000 units of hardware sold for Wii & DS vs. 218,000 units sold for all other platforms Nintendo's momentum continues to build largely interrupted despite occasional Xbox 360 (Halo 3, price cut) and PS3 spikes (Metal Gear Solid 4, price cut). Next week the mid-model Xbox 360 will be priced at $299, so there should be another short term spike. But with a quick phase out, it doesn't look like Microsoft plans on using the 'price cut' as a momentum changer. Until the next wave of price cuts and/or compelling software arrives to shake demand up a bit, the sales hierarchy should continue as is.

TGDaily.com writes, big announcements at E3 cannot hide that Microsoft had a rough June with its game console.
