Kid Icarus Wii becomes more of a reality with retail listing
It's pretty safe to say that Kid Icarus is pretty close to being confirmed. IGN discusses the title almost every week, and the concept art/info that popped up a few days ago reinforced the claims of the IGN team. However, another bit of info from DVD Feed, an Australian video game collector of sorts, may reinforce the existence of a Kid Icarus title. A listing has appeared on PALGN which updates its list with new games added to DVD Feed, and believe it or not, Kid Icarus Wii is on a new list.

Xbox 360 Wiimote is a Bad Idea
Steve Wysowski from XboxFocus.com writes: "Across the Internet, widespread speculation has risen that the Xbox 360 will indeed be receiving a Wiimote like hardware peripheral that would effectively change the way thing play out for Microsoft generation. So many variables that have been establish thus far can change with an announcement: Xbox 360 sales will definitely see an immediate spike in sales (no doubt the product would be hyped up the wazoo), an emphasis on gameplay innovation and user immersion will clearly have been established for this generation (as there is still a debate regarding whether or not the Wii is nothing but a gimmick), and it will put the 360 in direct competition with Nintendo for the casual market. While it all sounds great on paper, how good would a motion sensing control scheme for the Xbox 360 really be? Microsoft has never been able to truly capture the casual gamer, and I don't believe that would suddenly change with the announcement of Wiimote copy (which most of the "blueprints" have been showing). Microsoft's biggest attempt to "bring the entire family together" on Xbox 360 has been that Scene It? Trivia Game piece of garbage, that was laugh worthy and quickly became a running gag amongst Sony and Nintendo fanboy circles. And that was it. If Microsoft were to go from a moderate position towards casual gameplay to a far greater emphasis, it's hard not see a bumpy road lie ahead for MS."

'Okami' retains its charm on Wii version
So rarely can you call a game a work of art, but in "Okami's" case, it is just that. The stunning art direction takes its cue from traditional Japanese art -- imagine exploring a watercolor world brushed to life.

Analysis of Americas Sales for the Week Ending May 10, 2008
VGChartz writes: "After an enormous first week of sales, Grand Theft Auto IV still managed to sell over a million units across PS3 and Xbox 360 in the Americas. Mario Kart Wii has also held up well, somehow managing to outsell GTAIV on PS3. Hardware sales in contrast fell rather sharply from the big boost last week. While DS, PSP, and PS2 were not really impacted by the GTA launch at all, PS3 and Xbox 360 both saw sales drop over 40%. Wii saw an even larger drop, though much of it is likely attributable to Nintendo holding back some supply for the Wii Fit push later in May. In the coming weeks it will be interesting to see whether Xbox 360 or PS3 drops further as GTAIV sales decline. While such hardware declines were unexpected, PS3 sold about as well as it during last November — immediately after a price cut — and Xbox 360 sold about as well as it during last September — during Halo 3 launch and after a price cut. Therefore, it was probably unrealistic as well to expect 'elevated' sales to continue without a recent price cut. Year over year trends are significantly different this week from previous weeks. PS3 in 2008 is still near the top of the GTA peak this year, while last year it was hitting rock bottom: .........5/10/08........5/12/07....YoY Change Wii....129,919.......132,680..........-2% DSL..147,952.......152,960..........-3% PSP...64,594........63,675...........+1% PS2...41,159........63,942...........-36% PS3...80,297........25,078...........+220% 360....66,770........55,870...........+20%

Microsoft: Oops, We Forgot About The Wii In Worldwide Sales
Microsoft totally won the race to 10 million in the U.S. That's for damn sure. But worldwide? They're not exactly the leader in the "current-generation console" race, at least not if you include the Wii as a "current-generation console." They may have an impressive Xbox Live user base, but 19 million Xbox 360s sold does not a current gen leader make.

New Video Game Lets Visually Impaired Share The Fun
A new computer game developed by students makes it possible for visually impaired people to play the game on a level field with their sighted friends. The game, called AudiOdyssey, simulates a deejay trying to build up a catchy tune and get people dancing. By swinging the remote-control device used by the Nintendo Wii, which senses motion, the player can set the rhythm and lay down one musical track after another, gradually building up a richer musical track.
