Too Human, played the demo and loved it
Sarcasticgamer.com plays the Too Human demo and loves every minute of it. From the article: "While this demo has been out for about a week now, I just got my Xbox 360, aka my off-white albino turd, back from it's Texas repair center. After playing my old favorites, I went online to pick up the latest demos and Silicon Knights' Too Human Demo was there, waiting for me. Everybody has heard all about Too Human and it's tales of woe. We've heard that it's been in development for 10 years. That people hated on it's first showing at E3 2006. How about Silicon Knights suing Epic over the Too Human engine issues. Who could forget the latest gossip about Dennis Dyak going after moron forum trolls on NeoGaf. Yes, the game has a ton of baggage, but, ya know what? The demo is pretty friggin' good. I am now genuinely excited for this game. I'll explain, after the jump."

The Ultimate Proof Sony Is Winning
Jane Wells of CNBC Writes: "Forget the analysts. Forget the NPD sales figures. Forget the CEO's. I live with the ultimate expert on the video game industry-my 16-year-old son. He not only plays video games, he watches every show about them on G4, he participates in chat rooms about them on the internet, he competes in a variety of games on a variety of platforms. He always tells me the latest trend three months before I read about it in the media. But he's never been a PlayStation fan. Sure, he had a PS1, but as soon as the Xbox came out, it was game over. He loved the Xbox graphics, and once he was old enough to play "Halo," he loved the games. He graduated to the Xbox 360, Xbox Live, "Gears of War," etc. He even hung in there during the overheating Xbox "red ring of death" phase. Other than a two-year detour/obsession playing "World of Warcraft" on his computer, he has always been an Xbox fanboy. Sony just didn't have great games."

Is Xbox 360 losing ground?
Following the trend from May, June sales for the Xbox 360 again sagged behind the Nintendo Wii. Nintendo is now in the lead with over 11 million in sales while the Xbox 360 is at about 10.5 million in sales. In 20 months Nintendo caught and surpassed the Xbox 360 in total units sold, and for the first time a non-current generation console is leading the new next generation consoles.

Gearbox dev reveals Sony doesn't force Trophy support
Gearbox Software president Randy Pitchford has revealed to VideoGamer.com that there is no requirement from Sony to support the PS3's recently implemented Trophy system. However, he said that Gearbox will support them. The developer currently has three high profile multiplatform first-person shooters coming out this year and in 2009 - Brothers in Arms Hell's Highway, Aliens: Colonial Marines and Borderlands. When asked what he thought of PS3 Trophies, Pitchford replied: "That's pretty interesting. I want to play with it first. I think it's a cool thing. I'm addicted to achievement points on the Xbox 360 so I understand a part of what that's about. I actually have over 71,000 gamer points."

Videogamer: Gears of War 2 Hands-on
Videogamer: "Meeting Lester Speight, aka Private Augustus Cole, aka 'The Cole Train', is intimidating enough. He towers over almost everyone in the trendy down town Los Angeles night club, huge arms bulging and chest tearing through his tight shirt. But imagine having him, along with his boisterous American entourage, watch your every move while playing as his virtual counterpart in a high octane game of Horde, Gears of War 2's new five-player cooperative game mode? "Who's playin' me?" he booms. I slowly raise my hand. "This is Lester Speight right here ladies and gentlemen!" announces one of his enthusiastic aides. I have one hell of an audience, and the pressure is on. It's important, though, that I concentrate on the game, on working out whether the new Horde mode, which sees up to five COG players face off against wave after wave of increasingly tough Locust, is good enough to make up for the fact that Gears of War 2, which we now know is coming out on November 7 exclusively on Xbox 360, won't have four-player co-op campaign play. I toil somewhat over this position, agonising as I sink three hours into game after game, sucking on free Coronas MS has generously laid on for the assembled press. At the end of it all, I decide that it is not."

Peter Moore: Wii to Win Console War with Over 50% Market Share
GameDaily: It's a lot easier to talk about the console wars when you're not running the business behind one anymore. EA Sports' Peter Moore sees Wii taking the crown. While Sony's Kaz Hirai told the Financial Times that he thinks the PS3 can sell 150 million units during its lifespan, former Xbox man and current EA Sports label president Peter Moore gave the Times a different picture of what he expects the market to look like several years down the road. Moore, like many others in the industry, has predicted a relatively easy victory for Nintendo.

New 360 Dashboard: "You don't have to use it"
CVG: Never go there and "pretty much do everything that you could before", says MS. If you don't like the look of the new Xbox 360 Dashboard unveiled at E3 last week, then "you don't actually have to use it," says Microsoft's Xbox Live director of programming Larry 'Major Nelson' Hryb. According to The Major, every single function available in current 360 backend will be included in the new, clean-looking Dash', which you can bypass completely if you choose.

The upcoming free Microsoft console
This article is totally speculative. It is about something that Microsoft could do, should do and may well be doing. It is not about the Xbox 360 or the upcoming Xbox 720 (Phoenix?). It is about a totally new machine. A totally new sort of machine.
