Finally we (taxpayers) have someone on our side that can run with the big dogs. Unlike the porch pooches on The Jefferson County Commission, David Bronner understands money. He understands how to use it and how to spend it. The sooner Larry Langford and Bettye Collins are in jail for the role they played in the largest theft in Alabama history, the better off we are. Meanwhile, Collins will continue to pay out a hundred thousand here and a hundred thousand there to get advice from "consultants". The rip-off just keeps going. comment on UPDATE: RSA's Bronner fires back at Slaughter Jul 26, 2008 2:34 PM [GMT]
Why would anyone be surprised that FEMA can't count? Wait till we find out that The Department of Homeland Security is also in the same boat. comment on Huge math error in Katrina supply giveaway Jul 22, 2008 03:47 AM [GMT]
Barrack Obama caught the American imagination. Now, he will truly begin his run for The White House. From now until the election will be the political equivalent of The Chinese Water Torture. A scandal here and a scandal there. Obama is about to be defined. Sure, he will juke and jive. Even as he does more and more voters will meet Barrack. Reality will soon collide with imagination. Reality is not going to be a very pretty picture. He has disavowed his preacher and his bag man. He never knowed nothing about anything. That line is going to get old. What his preacher said is said every Sunday in black churches across the country. There is nothing unusual about his preacher. Barrack has given white, progressive voters "The Shuck". That is what it is called. It is the black face presented in white social interaction. If you want to get along, you have to pretend to go along until such time when you don't have to pretend. Nothing new there, either. Twenty years and he never heard comments like that. Good gosh, maybe Bush finally is getting it, sort of. Maybe, he has learned that that blunder and bluster don't work. Even a blind hog can find a walnut. comment on Finance Officials for U.S. and Iran Had Secret Talks Feb 16, 2008 05:41 AM [GMT]
We live in a society of drug pushers. Large pharmaceutical pushers now marketing directly to their customers. The customers the go to the doctor (street level pushers) to order their drug of choice. What the Army (government) is doing is nothing. They are not addressing the problems, they are studying the effects of the problem. They give the impression of movement while sitting still. One thing Americans like is a good study. This is nothing more than a resurrection of The Syphillis Study at Tuskeegee on a grand scale. comment on Soldiers Dying Of Accidental Overdoses Feb 15, 2008 3:29 PM [GMT]
What a waste of money. This is nothing more than an attempt to protect the integrity of sports betting. It has nothing to do with the integrity of the sport. Anyone who has ever attended high school knows that cheating begins there, it does not wait until it gets to the big leagues. Like the doping scandals, cheating is institutional. Who cares if the players are doped. We pay to see overgrown freaks batter each other up and down the courts and the playing fields. Here is another ridiculous showt-rial. How can you hold an individual low-ranking soldier responsible for killing in a war zone when his own government has committed and allowed to be permitted so many atrocities. One rule for the generals and the politicians, another for the grunts. How many people must be jailed trying to legitimize the illegitimate. comment on Kids' evidence key to Iraq death trials Feb 15, 2008 3:19 PM [GMT]
Here they go again. Another low ranking soldier has been convicted of killing an unarmed Iraqi. Even though it has been shown that official U.S. policy has been one of unlimited brutality, we continue to hold individuals to a different standard. For the first time in history, murder and torture has been The Official Policy of The United States. In every war before, murder and torture have been isolated instances where the perpetrators were held accountable. What we see here is mission creep. The individual soldier cannot see the difference in what he does and what his government does. You have one rule for the privates and another rule for the generals and the politicians. Not one of these soldiers would be in Iraq were it not for the actions of traitors in high places. These little prosecutions are just the beginning. We are going to see a resurgence of "going postal" among returnees. Coming to your local police department, are returnees who will bring with them government sanctioned methods of interrogation. Another un-addressed crisis is looming for citizens of The United States. You will be as safe as the individual policeman will allow. comment on U.S. soldier found guilty of killing Iraqi citizen Feb 10, 2008 9:00 PM [GMT]
This case highlights what is wrong in The Criminal Justice System. Lazy, incompetent and just plain corrupt policemen have perverted the system. Judges sit and know that the state cannot be trusted, Everyday in every courtroom in this country perjured testimony is presented and accepted by judge and jury. Mindful of the next election, no judge wants to be known as anti-police, so they let it go on. The Federales have been selected because they are willing to see justice done. Their belief in a quick trial and a fair hanging is why they were appointed in the first place. In America, the end too often justifies the means. The American Court System has become little more than an appeal from the verdict of The police. comment on Big drug case derailed by rogue snitch Feb 10, 2008 8:44 PM [GMT]
