Sadly, we will never know what brought this on. All we will hear is "deranged, loner, unprovoked rampage, and the other buzzwords" used when politicians overstep their bounds. This is what the politicians really fear about The Second Amendment. This is what The Second Amendment is all about. The Second Amendment protects against the enemy within. No politician should have a bodyguard. They should take their chances just like the rest of us. comment on Five shot to death at City Council meeting Feb 8, 2008 06:25 AM [GMT]
Somebody needs to take a real close look at the confirmation process that put this thing on the payroll. Even for The Bush Administration, this fear-monger goes too far. comment on Mukasey Warns of Drug Case Releases Feb 8, 2008 06:05 AM [GMT]
Poor Mr. Gates, he doesn't get it. Like Mr. Bush and Ms. Rice, Mr. Gates sees the world through the looking glass. The World sees the problem in Afghanistan as The Iraq Problem. Were it not for Mr. Bush's military adventure in Iraq, America would still have allies. As it is, Mr. Bush and Company have once again managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Mr. Bush thinks that by changing players he can somehow regain the moral high ground in the eyes of The World. Poor George. comment on Gates Hits NATO Allies' Role in Afghanistan Feb 7, 2008 05:33 AM [GMT]
All of these efforts are just so much B.S. When the next 9/11 comes the bureaucracy will be just as flabbergasted as you or I. These security measures just serve to keep brother-in-laws and son-in-laws off the unemployment rolls. The fleecing of America continues. comment on Government Fails to Enforce Privacy on New IDs Jan 25, 2008 9:54 PM [GMT]
Let's not kid ourselves. This article should have been about the Mexicans who did the work. Or maybe, it should have been about the taxpayers who footed the bill. George and Laura have as much to do with this as I do. comment on Effort to Conserve Natural Plants Pays Off on Bushes' Ranch Jan 25, 2008 9:49 PM [GMT]
We are starting to see the real reason for the surge. The surge was the last hurrah for The Republicans. It was the last chance to further line the pockets of The Bush Faithful. Since The War on Terror is being paid for with the card , no one is bothered. A couple trillion dollars plus interest has been taken off the top of The American Economy to pay for the 'splendid little war in Iraq'. The awful truth is that America has been on a fool's errand. Our treasure and our blood have drained into the desert sands. We have accomplished nothing. Violence is down in Iraq because The Iraqi's are preparing for Civil War. When the last American leaves, he may as well turn out the lights. The War will begin as soon as The Iraqi is sure the invaders have left. For awhile, we will prop up our Iraqi Government on the tip of our bayonets. A short time after we are gone, the real government of Iraq will take office. No American will dare walk the streets of Iraq for the next two hundred years. comment on U.S. war costs in Iraq up: report Jan 23, 2008 9:24 PM [GMT]
The Great Candy-Rock Mountain is coming soon to a legislature near you. To believe that Blue Cross-Blue Shield is actually going to do anything for the insured or the uninsured requires an incredible leap of faith. Blue Cross-Blue Shield is the reason for high health care costs not the solution. BC-BS has negotiated (mandated) a payment schedule which squeezes the consumer and the providers in a relentless spiral of health care costs. Bc-BS pushed you in and now they claim that they are ready to pull you out. Why would they push you if they were going to pull you out? Health Care Reform is an idea whose time has come. BC-BS is pulling the same old trick used so successfully by politicians. BC-BS is launching a pre-emptive strike. They are shaping the battlefield by offering a non-solution for debate. This si the old low-ball being pitched. BC-BS hopes to talk health care reform to death. They will have many allies helping them. You see this happening all the time all over the country. The best example are the public utilities and The IRS. Both are monopolies. Both tell you how concerned they are with the well-being of their "clients" and both continue to fleece their lower income "clients. BC-BS is the 800 pound gorilla sitting at your breakfast table and messing in your corn flakes. You get more in your bowl, but the cereal doesn't taste quite as good. comment on Blue Cross proposes fix for uninsured Americans Jan 23, 2008 9:05 PM [GMT]
The "leader" of an occupying power is making a fool of himself. His words smack of hypocrisy, illusions and delusions. To speak of peace while waging war is really unbelievable. The only people who listen are the people we pay. Thanks to Mr. Bush, America has the best friends money can buy. Everywhere he goes, the people hold their breath, afraid that Mr. Bush may be thinking of sending his "democracy" their way. comment on Bush Offers Peacemaking Checklist Jan 11, 2008 05:43 AM [GMT]
George Bush has lost all credibility. Americans, Iranians, Iraqi's, Palestinians: Nobody believes anything that comes from The Office of The President of The United States. Just to name a few whoppers:Mobile Weapons Laboratories, babies thrown from incubators, low ranking fall guys (enlisted personnel) sent to prison, body counts and Iranian Attack Boats. The Tonkin Gulf is still fresh in too many minds. If The Pentagon is not careful they too will suffer from the same credibility gap. comment on Bush Faces Wall of Arab Ire Jan 11, 2008 05:36 AM [GMT]
