None wore a helmet!??! The lady fell 500 to 1500 feet and they think a helmet is going to help? Get real.
Now they obviously weren't roped up, but without knowing the environment it is difficult to say if this was an error or not.

Honest citizens? In Mexico? That's an oxymoron.
The solution is to end this 'war on drugs'. Legalize them gradually which will take the money out of them and end the violence and corruption that flows from them.

How about limiting population growth? That would be cheap and effective. If the world's population was frozen at current levels today and forward, within a generation there would be no endemic poverty.

I suppose the Taliban must be experiencing what it is like to have death come at you out of the blue. Giving them a perspective of what it was like for the folks in the World Trade Center.
These Islamists seem like crazed dogs, biting everything around them, even themselves. There was a group very like Al Qaeda in the early days of Islam in Iraq. They murdered anyone and everyone indiscriminately. Took centuries to wipe them out. Seems the religion is prone to these kinds of nut cases. comment on Missile Attacks, Apparently by U.S., Kill 27 in Pakistan, Including Qaeda Operative Nov 1, 2008 03:55 AM [GMT]

No doubt they're counting illegal (and legal) immigrants in that number. Of course the infant mortality is increasing as they move us closer to the third world status of the countries they come from.
I wonder what infant mortality is for children of native born American citizens? comment on U.S. lags other rich nations in infant mortality Oct 15, 2008 11:10 PM [GMT]

Hispanics.
Such incidents are common in their homelands. Why would it be different here? Their culture is one step above barbarism.

Do we have the right to keep our country as a civilized and gentle place? Uncrowded and environmentally benign? With low crime and not overpopulated? A place with low levels of corruption. The way it used to be before all these illegals showed up.
There are 2 billion people in the world living on less than $2/day. Do all of them have a right to come to America just because they are in need? And no matter the consequences to our way of life?
What of their responsibility for their own plight? They have babies they can't afford, and still have more. They don't educate themselves or their children. Are they not responsible for their own actions? Is it our responsibility to pick up the pieces for their self harming behavior? Do we have to support a culture of "too stupid to use birth control and proud of it" to the destruction of our way of life?
They've lived here for years and don't speak English. They still behave in the same way that made their countries pestholes, and expect us to celebrate that. That tells you how much they want to be American, how much they want to fit in to this country.
Oh sure, employers are happy with them as workers. Five hundred years of Latin feudal culture have perfected the creation of serfs. Docile and subservient, proud to be ignorant, having lots of babies so they are cheap to use. But is this good for America? I don't think so. comment on A small town struggles after immigration raid Aug 16, 2008 6:24 PM [GMT]
